Christina Francine :
"Dear Reader,
I have been a teacher for a long time and have taught many students who came to America from other countries to live. They were excited but sometimes a little scared. They had to adjust to many new things. My, how brave they were and how strong!
I remember a boy from Pakistan who taught the class many things about his old country. He was thankful to be in America, but he missed his friends. He felt better once he learned how to write a letter to his friends the old-fashioned way.
He also video chatted with one friend once a week. I tell my students there is something special about sending and receiving an actual paper from a friend and from seeing the ink from their handwriting.
I hope you enjoy Mr. Inker, who is sometimes a stinker and may you always use a pen or pencil you like.
Happy reading and writing! "
Sincerely,
Christina Francine.
